I help organisations regain control of identity, data, and AI risk in Microsoft cloud environments.I’m a senior Microsoft security & data governance architect with deep hands-on experience across Entra ID, Defender XDR, Purview, Sentinel, and Microsoft’s emerging AI security stack. My work sits at the control plan, identity & access, data classification, policy enforcement, and telemetry, not at the surface layer of tools.Over the last 15+ years I’ve led and delivered large-scale Microsoft transformations (200k+ seats), complex tenant separations, M&A carve-outs, and security modernisation programmes across regulated and global environments. Today, my focus is firmly on risk-led architecture, not checkbox compliance or tool deployment.I specialise in: • Identity-centric security architectures (Entra ID, Conditional Access, CAE, workload & agent identities) • Data risk governance using Microsoft Purview (classification, DLP, Insider Risk, DSPM, PAYG services) • Threat detection & response at scale (Defender XDR, Sentinel, cross-tenant and MSSP models) • AI & Copilot readiness, securing data, identities, and permissions before AI is turned loose • Drift, misconfiguration, and control erosion in long-lived M365 and Azure tenantsI’m currently building 365Signal, a consulting and advisory platform focused on outcome-based security services such as drift assurance, control posture management, and AI-era data governance. The goal is simple: move organisations from reactive security operations to continuously enforced, identity-driven control.I work best with senior security, risk, and technology leaders who want clarity, straight answers, and architectures that actually hold under pressure.
