In this role, I assist students in the following Camosun programs with finding co-ops, while also helping employers in relevant industries with job development- Civil Engineering- Electrical Engineering- Mechanical Engineering- Electronics and Computer Engineering- Cybersecurity & Network Support- Information & Computer System- Interactive Media DeveloperDuties performed- Assist students and alumni to develop work-search and job-keeping skills in preparation for employment and/or workplace experience (e.g. co-op & internship placements); provide coaching and support on resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills, work search & job keeping skills, and other related topics- Develop and coordinate experiential learning placements and career opportunities for students, graduates and alumni by promoting and marketing employment services to employers, community organizations, other educational institutions, government, and alumni- Contribute to the planning, execution and effectiveness of departmental activities, events, and operational practices- Interact with relevant faculty and staff to ensure the effectiveness of departmental functions.
