As brand counsel, negotiated the exclusive development agreement for all U.S. Airport Starbucks locations, as well major agreements with U.S. and foreign franchisors. Served as in-house legal counsel for international development in travel venues, including the drafting and negotiation of current ventures in Canada, China, Russia, Turkey and Vietnam. Supported the company\'s growth by review and submission of tenders, creation of subsidiaries and/or review and negotiation of leases for operations in Canada, China, Finland, France, Qatar, Sweden, United Arab Emirates and U.S.A. Also was responsible for $60 million acquisition of a Canadian company, as well as other smaller acquisitions, and the 2014 disposition of operations in Egypt. Advised the company regarding corporate governance matters to include Foreign Corrupt Practices Act policies and procedures, as well has corporate secretary matters. Worked with HMSHost\'s team of in-house counsel regarding matters such as finance and tax, and supervised a network of international outside counsel. Served on HMSHost International B.V.\'s Executive Leadership Team.
