About Jon Silverman
Currently the Director of Pharmacy for Acute Care Operations at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Oversight of inpatient operations, sterile products area, operating room pharmacy, investigational drug services and controlled substances as well as backup ACPE Administrator. I am best known as a leader and mentor with a people-driven approach that builds and grows all members of my team, creating a positive culture with meaningful relationships. My team brings a results-oriented, “can-do” and positive approach to all initiatives. I’ve played leading roles at both the hospital and system level in the implementation and on-going maintenance of several different smart infusion technology platforms including large volume pumps, PCA/epidural pumps, syringe pumps, and respiratory pumps. I’ve implemented one of the first Medication Safety Officer positions, a Bariatric Surgery Pharmacy Consultation Service within ambulatory and a research pharmacy web-based software system that won an award from MSHP. I have been an ACPE Administrator accrediting pharmacy education programs for continuing education credit for over 20 years.
