ABOUT JON SANSOM
As marketing manager/creative director for one of the Top 10 General Contractors within Southern California I was responsible for developing marketing strategies and budget planning, proposal responses (RFPs, RFIs) and qualification packages, creating pitch decks and extensive copywriting. I was responsible for website and social media communications, photography, tracking and preparing award submissions, press releases, print ads, and designed tradeshow booths and collateral materials. My role included facilitating move-in move-out, electrical/carpet orders, shipping and drayage of my award-winning 10’ x 20’ exhibit booth.I am a member of the AIA/LA, and well-connected with the Los Angeles business development (sales) community. I regularly participated in networking events (ex: LABC, Bisnow, Downtown Breakfast Club, IIDA), tradeshows, recruiting fairs, and for years served as a board member of Southern California Development Forum. Increasing leads and sales goals utilizing BidSync, Periscope, Dodge Data, I managed our CRM program, and tracked user data with Google Analytics. I regularly monitored project pursuits and created quarterly reports for leadership, and partnered with our sales/ops teams to enhance relationships with stakeholders. Market success includes Black and Decker home hardware division in Lake Forest. Our marketing team reimagined brand package design, Point of Purchase displays, and shelf talkers for big box retailers Home Depot and Lowes, reflecting a sales increase 62% as a result of our visual rebranding. Responsible for planograms, style guides, and domestic travel for press checks to ensure quality control.I seek to make a positive difference in all I do. Whether as a volunteer of student-mentor ACE Mentorship Program, or helping preserve our rich architectural history alongside The Los Angeles Conservancy, I seek to build better communities for our shared future.
