ABOUT JON LEA
Experienced cell biologist and people leader, working on drug discovery portfolio projects and leading secondary pharmacology and high throughput safety screening strategy at GSK.I have extensive experience of developing and implementing cell biology innovations and applications for drug discovery programs across molecular modalities (small mol, TPD, oligo) within the pharma industry.As a people leader I lead a talented group of assay development and screening scientists to reach their personal development goals whilst we achieve discovery program and capability build milestones.The group I now lead design, develop and execute innovative high throughput cellular screening and profiling assays - utilizing a wide range of assay technologies and platforms - enabling secondary pharmacology screening and accelerating drug discovery programs across all GSK therapeutic areas.I am also passionate about driving strategic efficiency and advancing the understanding of molecular safety in drug discovery, and have a background in hepatotoxicity and pharmacology plus an interest in the evaluation of novel biomarkers of drug-induced liver injury.
