About Jon Labaschin
With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and fundraising, I am a passionate and dedicated Director of Development at North Shore Senior Center, where I have been serving since 2015. I am also responsible for all Major Gifts and Planned Giving at the same organization, a role that I have held since 2018. I have successfully led and implemented various campaigns, events, and strategies to increase donor engagement, retention, and loyalty, as well as to generate sustainable and diversified revenue streams for the senior center. I have also cultivated and maintained strong relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and community partners, leveraging my skills in communication, negotiation, and stewardship. As a Director of Development, I oversee and support a team of talented and committed professionals, who share my vision of enhancing the quality of life and well-being of older adults and their families. I have a strong background and expertise in the fields of social justice, human rights, and education, having worked for several prominent organizations such as Friends of the Forest Preserves, FOUND - Chicago, ELEM, Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, American Friends of Hebrew University, and Anti-Defamation League. I am also fluent in German, which gives me a unique perspective and an advantage in reaching out to diverse and multicultural audiences and stakeholders. I am driven by the mission and values of North Shore Senior Center, and I am eager to continue to contribute to its growth and impact.
