Direct and oversee the implementation of all safety and security programs for the purpose of providing protection and a sense of well being to all guest and team members. Screen, interview, select, manage, review and counsel Loss Prevention Supervisors and Officers to maintain order throughout the hotel and conference center. Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and preventive measures. Develop, administer and implement safety incentive programs and safety training. Oversee monthly safety committee meetings and provide risk management and safety training to hotel staff. Directly coordinate Fire / Life Safety training, CPR / First-Aid, as well as other Corporate approved programs to include Situational Awareness, Active Shooter Training and Workplace Violence Training. Lead and direct investigations of accidents, injuries, thefts and property loss as well as any other unlawful activities and provide documented details of all incidents. Represent the hotel management team as liaison with local law enforcement and other government agencies regarding visits by foreign dignitaries, government officials and high profile guests. Write and maintain security, loss prevention and safety policy and procedures manual for the hotel. Maintain and monitor the CCTV security camera and recording systems as well as access controls to include hard key and card key inventory and accountability. Administer other management responsibilities to include scheduling and payroll.
