Founded Global Neighbor Inc (GNI) in 2003, with an original mission of developing environmentally sensitive gardening tools for the home gardener. GNI discovered that directed energy (DE) holds great promise as a tool for environmentally friendly weed control. Through investor support and work under U.S. Air Force SBIRs, GNI has become the global leader in the use of DE for weed control, with multiple issued and pending US and International DE patents.A handheld unit incorporating GNI’s DE technology and designed for the the home gardener is currently being marketed by Viatek Consumer Products Group. GNI is currently adapting its DE technology to agriculture applications, and is working closely with grain and produce farmers across the Midwest to deliver compelling solutions that address their needs.
