About Jon J. Ferrian

Jon is a UW graduate with degrees in both Accounting and Marketing and is a former Auditor at Ernst and Young. He is a hard worker who has worked in a series of diverse roles from Sales to Auditing. In the latter role, he worked on several large audits on nationally recognized companies in industries as diverse as online retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and music / sports entertainment. Through these engagements, he was able to broadly deepen his knowledge in accounting and the business world more broadly and learned to work with a variety of different people towards achieving the same larger goal of completing the audit. In his experience in sales roles in the past, he drove over 11k in revenue in his first month of employment and learned to form connections and really sell himself and others. After his recent layoff as an auditor at Ernst and Young, Jon is looking for the next step in his career. He has experience in several of these diverse fields and is looking to bring his strengths into his next role.

   Conducted comprehensive audits for a diverse portfolio of clients and industries, including a large G360 online retailer, a client in the healthcare industry (on the provider and hospital side), in the manufacturing industry, as well as a sports and music entertainment client- Participated in planning and executing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies- Gained hands-on experience in various audit tasks, including substantive and controls testing, analytical procedures such as tests of detail, trends analysis, and completed enhanced documentation of audit findings- Adapted to both remote and in-person work environments, demonstrating flexibility and effective communication with clients and team members- Heavily utilized excel, as well as other internal tools to the company for completion of audit tasks.
