ABOUT JON FELDMAN

Innovative leader in industrial energy efficiency Engaging speaker and experienced instructor Member of the AEE Energy Manager Hall of Fame and AEE Fellow Jon Feldman is serving part-time as the Senior Energy Advisor at Aladaco Consulting Inc. In this role Jon is responsible for supporting clients with expertise on industrial energy efficiency, carbon management, and Measurement & Verification, while also advising the executive leadership team on strategic business planning. Prior to his semi-retirement, Jon held the role of Senior Technical Officer for Industrial Energy Efficiency in the IESO’s Energy Efficiency department. In this role, Jon was responsible for all technical aspects of the current and future industrial programs. He also provided leadership and guidance on industrial energy efficiency measures, energy management, Strategic Energy Management and ISO to the Energy Efficiency department. In 2020 Jon became only the 2nd Canadian to be inducted into the AEE’s Energy Manager Hall of Fame; the Associations highest honor, given to outstanding leaders in the energy industry who over their lifetimes have made significant contributions in the field of energy management.In addition to his day-to-day responsibilities, Jon was co-chair of 2019 Summer Study on Industrial Energy Efficiency and in 2018-19 he chaired the DSM program team of the Centre for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation (CEATI). He continues to serve on the ISO TC301 Mirror Committee (ISO family).During the period 19••••09 Mr. Feldman was a consultant for Hatch Ltd, a leading global consulting engineering and management organization serving mining and energy sectors. During this time, he conducted approximately 100 energy audits and energy management assessments at a broad range of commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. Jon currently serves as a member of AEE’s CMVP Board, CEA Exam Committee and is a charter member of AEE’s ISO Certification Board. He was a member of the Greater Toronto Area Chapter executive from 2012 to 2021, serving as president from 20••••20. He was the recipient of the AEE Canada Regional Award for Energy Professional Development in 2016, and is a regular contributor to the AEE World Conference as both a session chair and presenter.Jon holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He is a former CMVP Instructor, and is the longest serving instructor on the Canadian CEM panel, having taught close to 80 classes and over 1,500 students.
