About Jon Easter

Easter is a pharmacist with 30 years of healthcare experience, specializing in health policy, medication optimization, and population health management. He is a Professor of the Practice and Vice Chair of Practice Advancement at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He also serves as the faculty director for the UNC Center for the Business of Health that creates collaborations between business and pharmacy. He has led several pharmacy practice transformation projects, with a specific focus on creating partnerships with policy actors through Catalyst Events, Advisory Committees, and other convening channels, including payers,as a strategy to impact the system-level pharmacy practice ecosystem. Previously, he spent 19 years at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where he worked in health policy, focusing on quality and medication management.
