ABOUT JON DRIVER

For more than a decade, I have designed and driven initiatives across UK higher education, operating where international relations, public policy, and institutional strategy converge. My career has centred on helping institutions navigate complex global landscapes — aligning international growth with regulatory integrity, government policy, and long-term strategic ambition.I have held senior leadership roles across International Recruitment, Regulatory Compliance, Immigration Advisory Services, Governance, and Academic Partnerships. Throughout, my focus has been on translating shifting policy environments — particularly in immigration, regulatory reform, and transnational education — into coherent institutional strategy. I have led initiatives that strengthen global engagement, safeguard compliance in high-stakes regulatory contexts, and build sustainable international partnerships in an increasingly geopolitically complex environment.My work sits at the intersection of diplomacy and delivery: balancing commercial internationalisation objectives with public accountability, policy alignment, and reputational stewardship. I bring a strong understanding of how higher education serves national priorities while fostering cross-border impact and collaboration.In recognition of outstanding service to the UK’s higher education sector, I have twice been honoured with an invitation to Buckingham Palace — a distinction that reflects sustained contribution to sector-wide excellence and governance.Alongside executive leadership, I am a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and hold an MSc in the Philosophy of Mental Disorder from King’s College London. My academic interests in mental health, ethics, and institutional responsibility inform a strategic approach grounded in integrity, systems thinking, and long-term public value.Beyond my professional role, I remain actively engaged in public service and governance, including voluntary leadership within secondary education and contributions to child and adolescent mental health research.I welcome conversations on global higher education policy, internationalisation strategy, regulatory reform, international relations, governance, and the evolving role of universities in global affairs.
