I work with entrepreneurs to help them grow their businesses and their profits. I use the numbers as a foundation to do this, but my role goes much further than just the accounts and tax. I understand my clients’ goals and put in place plans to achieve them, checking progress along the way.I own Jon Davies Accountants, a forward-thinking accountancy practice in Liverpool. Imaginative name, too!Our forward-thinking advice makes us different to most other accountants who talk about last year’s figures. We understand that entrepreneurs want to talk about now, and the future.We help our clients with the following:• Business Growth Strategies – helping entrepreneurs run more successful businesses. We help set goals and plans to get there. The numbers are usually the basis for these plans but we cover wider areas as well, for example marketing or pricing strategies• Key Performance Indicators – working out the key drivers for businesses and monitoring them on a regular basis• Management reporting – including financial and non-financial measures. Our reports can include the “standard” accounts information and also non-financial measures, eg Google Analytics or Sales Leads/Conversions. Our reports present the data in diagrams and pictures.• Budgets, cashflows & forecasts to plan and monitor the future of our clients’ businessesAnd we do also do the statutory accounts and tax. We’re very good at it and we’ve got the qualifications to prove it too!We also believe in keeping on top of technology to make running businesses as smooth as possible. We’ve been working with Xero for a few years and this has made a big difference to many of our clients.
