Senior Policy Adviser working on projects across six sectors of economic infrastructure: transport, energy, water, waste, digital and flood management. Policy projects include surface water management, analysing the UK\'s rail needs, developing reforms of the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects planning consent regime, and managing urban congestion.I was previously an academic with expertise on the history of China\'s relations with the west. I undertook several post doctoral positions, researched in archives across the world using three languages (English, Mandarin and French), and published findings in world leading journals.
