About Jon Brisbin
Jon is a Software Engineer with over two decades of experience architecting, designing and implementing solutions in large-scale systems. From being a founding member of the Reactor Framework at Pivotal to work on the Spring Framework to Erlang work on Riak (an Open Source database) to next generation Application Performance Monitoring (APM) with Instana (IBM), he is currently leveraging all that experience as an Expert Data Engineer at Bayer Crop Science where he writes a lot of Go code and Helm charts to power extremely large-scale APIs and systems with complex data models and complicated operational dependencies to ultimately help growers produce more and better crops to feed a large swath of the world. He started his career in software in the United States Air Force intelligence as an Imagery Interpreter working with multi-spectral reconnaissance assets.
