About Jon Armstrong
I am a technology developer and biotech leader with deep expertise in nucleic acid sequencing, RNA/DNA in biomarker and drug development, and multi-disciplinary R&D management. Currently, I serve as Chief Scientific Officer at Amptiv Bio, where I lead discovery, platform development, and scientific strategy for our next-generation mRNA therapeutics. By leveraging post-synthesis modifications, our platform is designed to dramatically improve stability, reduce immunogenicity, and extend duration of action, positioning Amptiv as a partner of choice for RNA therapeutics innovation. Previously, I co-founded Cofactor Genomics, building a predictive immune modeling company that developed RNA-based diagnostics for immunotherapy response, and I built the R&D organization at Jumpcode Genomics, where we advanced CRISPR-based genomics tools. Across my career, I’ve led globally recognized technology development programs and forged collaborations with biotech, academia, and pharma to accelerate the translation of cutting-edge science into impactful products.
