Conduct high-impact Special Investigations Unit (SIU) casework across Michigan in support of insurance defense efforts. Responsible for uncovering fraudulent activity and verifying claim integrity in areas such as property loss, vehicle theft, suspicious claims, and residency misrepresentation.Key Responsibilities and Contributions-Case Investigations & Reporting-Execute detailed field investigations including claimant interviews, recorded statements, scene photography, and environmental documentation. Submit daily updates and comprehensive reports via TrackOps in compliance with firm protocols and client SLAs-Fraud Detection & Surveillance-Employ advanced fraud detection techniques such as background checks, policy history reviews, and site canvassing. Conduct remote and in-person interviews, vehicle inspections, and identity verifications where warranted-SIU Documentation & Compliance-Adhere to strict formatting, reporting, and documentation standards as outlined in the SIU handbook and state PI regulations. Ensure TLO reports, scene assessments, and license verifications are correctly referenced in reports-Evidence Handling & Legal Readiness-Ensure accurate photo logs and chain-of-custody procedures for evidence. Prepare documentation suitable for civil or criminal court proceedings as needed-Administrative Integrity-Track expenses (billable hours, mileage, tolls) with proper justification and policy adherence. Maintain compliant documentation in accordance with internal audit, scorecard performance metrics, and procedural review criteria.This position builds on prior investigative and regulatory experience, integrating legal compliance, data integrity, and client service precision—while enhancing analytical, documentation, and fraud mitigation competencies aligned with state and national investigative protocols.
