ABOUT JEFFREY OLINAREZ

Jeffrey Olinarez, CPA (inactive), is a Director of Accounting at Oakmont Management Group. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing the financial month end close process, financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, and the maintenance and execution of internal controls for SOX compliance. Before joining Oakmont Management Group, Jeffrey was an Audit Manager at Haskell & White where he was responsible for overseeing audit engagements, creating audit timelines, and staffing for projects. He also assisted with complex transactions and risk oversight. Before joining Haskell & White, Jeffrey was a Senior Director of Operations at Chick-fil-A for over six years, where he gained valuable business development experience. Looking to expand upon his knowledge, Jeffrey transitioned to a career in public accounting in 2016. Two values that help guide Jeffrey’s career are excellence and valuing people. Jeffrey strives for constant improvement, so he works with his clients to develop tools to improve the audit each year. He prioritizes client service and goes above and beyond to help clients succeed. Just one example, in his previous role, Jeffrey assisted his government clients in achieving a GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award. Jeffrey has excellent leadership skills and has trained and mentored staff for several years. He is passionate about developing younger professionals’ careers and takes the time to teach his staff concepts and help them be their best. Jeffrey aims for excellence and always wants to improve from where he started. He wants to be known for making a positive impact on the people around him. He is looking forward to growing in his accounting career and expanding his knowledge to various industries. Jeffrey enjoys singing in his local choir, line dancing, working out, and traveling in his free time.
