ABOUT JOLIE GUIRGUIS
I am currently a second year law student at Newcastle University. I was born in Cairo Egypt and later moved to Dubai where I lived for 16 years before relocating to the UK to pursue my university studies.I am fluent in English and Arabic and I am working towards fluency in French by the end of my degree whether through self study or alongside my university program. My aspiration is to qualify as a solicitor in the UK graduate with a first class degree and pursue both a Masters and the SQE with the aim of beginning my training contract in 2028.For me this path is both a privilege and a responsibility to make the most of every opportunity and remain open to all experiences. I believe that knowledge without skills is incomplete and skills without knowledge achieve little and I strive to maintain the right balance between the two throughout my studies.Alongside my degree I plan to take part in pro bono, vacation schemes, and mini pupillages to gain well rounded experience across the legal field.
