I\'m a Principal PM at Optimizely where I\'m back in my sweet spot working on SaaS tools that help people do their jobs. I\'m also an adjunct professor at the University of Washington\'s MHCI+D program where I teach classes on UX Research / Product Discovery. I strongly believe the best PMs are masters of the Discovery process and know how to incorporate both quant and qual research into their products to make a better experience for customers.

   I teach in the MHCI+D and HCDE programs at the University of Washington year-round. Courses include: Research for Design - a research survey course that covers desk, generative, and evaluative qualitative research for the MCHI+D Program.Usability Studies - a deep dive on usability studies for the HCDE program. Research Capstone - MHCI+Ds capstone project includes a quarter focused exclusively on qualitative research for the students capstone project.Capstone Planning - a planning course with learning objectives focused around team-formation and communication (I like to think of it as PM-ing 101).
