As a Health Insurance Specialist for CMS, I am a Contracting officer\'s Representative (COR) representing the government as the technical expert for the determination of funds set-aside from workers’ compensation settlements to ensure appropriate payment for medical care associated with those claims. This is handled with a Worker’s Compensation Medicare Set-aside Arrangement as the vehicle. I manage a $69MM contract to review and recommend medical set-asides for future care related to Worker\'s Compensation, liability insurance, and no-fault insurance settlement injuries for Medicare beneficiaries. I am a FAC COR Level allowing me to be the COR for any sized government contract. I am also a FAC-P/PM Level allowing me to be the Program Manager for any sized government contract. My skills in clinical medicine help with evaluation of the offers from attorney groups related to the settlement of global worker\'s compensation and liability claims (i.e, NFL CTE settlement, asbestosis settlement).While at CMS, I was also detailed to the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response for operations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under that tenure, I coordinated statistical data and reporting for senior leadership, to include the White House. Additionally, I took the responsibilities of short-term COR operations (6-8 months) on other contracts during their transition. I performed all phases of the contract lifecycle for multiple contracts.
