I combine strong leadership, communications and interpersonal skills with a formal education and practice in ecological research and monitoring and communications. While my research career focused on protected areas management, behavioural ecology of large mammals in grazing ecosystems, I have branched out to include remote sensing, community ecology and design of ecological monitoring. My career at Parks Canada has also led me to leading and managing an interdisciplinary team of Wildlife Management, Search & Rescue, Fire Management, Ecological Monitoring & Restoration, Cultural Resource, External Relations, GIS, Information Management and Emergency Dispatch professionals. Critically, it has given me years of experience with communicating science to partners, stakeholders and the general public
