John is a trial lawyer. He has tried dozens of cases throughout the US. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, ABOTA and the FDCC. He was named San Francisco Bar Association lawyer of the year, and CA Supreme Court Chief Justice Cantil-Sakauye presented him with the volunteer of the year award for his work with pro bono and diversity programs. In 2018 he received his firm’s Inspiration Award after donating a kidney to a stranger. He is an athlete, black belt kung fu instructor and musician (with an album — I Am Icarus — on Spotify, Apple, etc.).
