ABOUT JOHN B. STERNLICHT
Here is the \"why\" I do what I do;I want to help organizations work better, I want to partner with companies to expand their reach and perform their mission more effectively and for more people. I do this as an economic developer and lawyer who focuses on the \"big picture\" including global economic development (US and international), public policy, external relations, and strategic planning. Economic development by my definition includes and involves not only business attraction, retention and expansion, but also education, transportation, health, environmental concerns, and social issues including equity and social justice.Throughout my career I have provided solutions to legal and strategic challenges through collaboration, long-range planning and being customer centric, bringing disparate groups together to achieve common goals, otherwise known as \"everybody wins.\" These groups include the highest levels of local and state governments, higher education, and all business sectors, as well as community groups.I love the Pacific Northwest and am so fortunate to live and work in Skagit County. The people, the place, and the spirit make it the best place I\'ve lived. People here want to do the right thing and do things right.
