The key role of the Public Safety Officer (PSO) is to oversee and improve the shipboard crew and guest injury investigation programs while ensuring compliance with regulations. This includes conducting thorough investigations into all onboard injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the Risk Management team, and maintaining high-quality incident investigations. The PSO may also be assigned additional duties in line with the company\'s safety standards. To uphold a safe environment, the PSO conducts safety checks, inspects key areas, and reports incidents promptly. Weekly safety checks in both guest and crew areas are essential, as is regular communication with the Staff Captain to align on prevention strategies.
