About John J. Sygielski
John J. “Ski” Sygielski, Ed.D, serves as the seventh president of HACC, Central Pennsylvania\'s Community College, Pennsylvania\'s largest and oldest community collegeSki, a speaker, author, business management instructor and Harrisburg (PA) Rotarian, he is the past chairman of the American Association of Community Colleges Board of Directors and a member of the 21st Century Commission on the Community Colleges. He currently serves on the boards of Harrisburg Boys and Girls Club, Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC board, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania\'s Workforce Investment Board. He also serves on several local, regional and national higher education advisory committees.A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Ski is the only member of his working-class family to graduate from college earning bachelor, master and doctorate degrees, including an honorary associate\'s degree from a community college.
