The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is responsible for developing advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology, providing technical support to ensure the safety and reliability of our nation\'s naval nuclear reactors and training the sailors who operate those reactors in the Navy’s submarine and aircraft carrier fleets. NNL includes both the Bettis and Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories and has more than employees at locations throughout the country including Pittsburgh, PA, Schenectady, NY, West Milton, NY, Charleston, SC, Idaho Falls, ID and numerous other shipyard and vendor sites around the globe. Fluor Marine Propulsion (FMP) operates NNL for the Department of Energy (DOE). NNL is dedicated solely to the support of the United States Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. I focus on helping the Naval Nuclear Laboratory achieve its goals by building understanding and engagement internally.
