I am an experienced Director with 30 years’ extensive knowledge of planning for and delivering major complex projects, programmes and portfolios. Currently Operations Director for Mace Consult – a global leader in project/programme delivery and construction. I was previously a Board member of one of the UK’s fastest growing environmental, planning and sustainability consultancies.I have extensive experience of working on major infrastructure projects/programmes (e.g. HS2, Thameslink Programme, A303 Stonehenge, A14, The Shard, Emirates Stadium, Brighton i-360) and across the whole lifecycle - from strategic inception, options development, pre-application, examination and securing approvals, through to construction and handover. The innovative noise minimisation initiatives I led, developed, and implemented during the demolition and construction on the Shard was award-winning and set the benchmark for future delivery.Approachable and having excellent stakeholder management skills, I engage in open communication at all levels; gaining full commitment from clients, colleagues and suppliers alike. I promote honesty and transparency in all that I do; committed to turning clients’ desired outcomes into reality by inspiring others and creating a partnership culture for all to work within.Additionally, I have held responsibilities for strategy development and implementation within various sectors, project planning and delivery, personnel/ resource management & recruitment, and business development/marketing. This has necessitated engaging widely across client organisations at senior levels, working in partnership with various programmes, business partners including commercial and procurement, other technical directorates as well as Government Departments. I am experienced in forming and leading diverse multi-disciplinary teams; setting processes and systems to deliver successful outcomes; and undertaking consultation exercises with local and county authorities and other relevant bodies.
