My organization and I are responsible for the architecture, evolution, and support of mission-critical, high-availability services for 800 endpoints and 17 facilities, and which include networks, physical and cloud infrastructure, applications, security, disaster recovery, policy, and much more.Throughout my career as a senior IT executive, transformation agent, and PMP-certified project manager, I have elevated enterprise performance and resilience through the delivery of best-in-class systems, high-availability infrastructure, and support.     Los Alamos County Government serves more than residents.I was recruited to define and deliver the next-stage enterprise IT vision as the county\'s chief technologist, heading an organization of 25 managers and staff in IT policy, operations, and KPIs for architecture, evolution, and support of mission-critical, high-availability services for 800 endpoints, 17 facilities, and several departments. Our ecosystem is comprised of wired and wireless networking; physical, virtual, and Azure cloud infrastructure; Windows OS; 37 enterprise applications; mobility; Cisco switching; communications; A/V; access control; security; disaster recovery; service desk; and records management. Key achievements:Directing a long-term roadmap strengthening the enterprise technology in support of rapid county services growth in collaboration with the County Manager and the Administrative Services Director.Providing leadership on a technical evolution that included a migration from Oracle to SQL Server, replatforming services to Microsoft 365 and digital communications, modernizing our core infrastructure, and leading cloud planning.Delivering cybersecurity and resiliency strategy supporting high systems availability.Program managing the creation of our offsite disaster recovery plan and infrastructure.Instituting and scaling Azure cloud services for compute and storage in a phased approach.Heading the technology components of an in-process $35M initiative to bring fiber broadband to our county residents.Leading the Tyler Munis ERP technical implementation and ancillary application integration.Playing a key role in technology partnership initiatives, including broadband access and cooperation with the Los Alamos Lab, the sharing of LiDAR, GPS, compute and networking with private/public organizations.Orchestrating a migration to a 100% virtual workforce at the onset of COVID-19.Promoting several team members from service desk roles into senior positions.
