About John Podbielski
I possess over 15 years of billing, credit and collections experience along with another 15 years of creditors’ rights law experience earlier in my career as an attorney. I have held billing, credit and collection management positions at AmLaw 200 law firms where I led, oversaw and managed those operations. I have embraced opportunities to shape and elevate those roles beyond their traditional duties and responsibilities, including taking a lead role at year end to meet firm revenue objectives. I serve as a trusted advisor to the members of firm management. I am particularly proud of my accomplishments of implementing best practice and process improvements and leveraging technology to increase productivity and improve operational efficiency. Some of my most notable accomplishments include:• Implemented star*targetCash to manage the commitment/projection process for the Year End Collection Push and quarterly pushes (4 firms) • Implemented Aderant Expert Collections, star*collect and ARCS3 (4 firms) • Developed a credit policy for vetting new clients balancing the need for new business with the risk of loss• Implemented online billpay for ACH and credit card payments via a secure webpage (2 firms) As a former practicing attorney myself, I can relate to the demands of attorneys\' practices, the value they place on client relationships and their dislike for administrative tasks, including collections. In short, I can understand and speak their language.
