I’ve led large-scale rebuilds, built collaborative engineering cultures, and driven product development that aligns with business goals and gets real results.I focus on creating strong, empowered teams that deliver. By setting clear goals, streamlining processes, and building trust, I help engineers do their best work. My teams are known for getting things done on time and with purpose, without the burnout that comes from chaos or over-engineering.What drives me is building systems that work and helping people grow along the way. I’ve built everything from internal platforms at scale to open-source tools used by thousands. 1. Senior Software Engineering Manager

   Integrity Express Logistics

   Jun 2023 — Present

   IEL is a multi-billion dollar 3PL service provider that connects customers through their dedicated owner operators and vast logistics database. Led the development and strategic execution for IEL\'s over $5M+ internal transportation management system rebuild. The rebuild included designing and developing the TMS from the ground up, migrating from on-prem servers to an EKS AWS setup, and implementing a comprehensive automation strategy for all unit tests on both front and backend, successfully achieving over 90% test coverage. Pioneered the integration of data analytics and leveraged public AI LLM\'s for predictive analysis, enhancing system efficiency and forecasting capabilities, which significantly improved decision-making processes and operational effectiveness. Pivoted the QA department towards a more automated BDD testing model using tools like Katalon, Postman, and framework specific unit / functional tooling within GitHub Actions. Managed the Software Engineering and Quality Engineering departments, and indirectly product owners to develop and deliver high-quality software solutions. Improve and manage the co-op/internship program, ensuring the recruitment, training, and mentoring of talented software engineering interns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement performance improvements on various internal systems, resulting in improved efficiency and productivity. Perform all aspects of people management, including conducting one-on-ones, setting goals, hiring / firing, and developing careers for team members. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs) for the software engineering department to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.
