A Shepherd/Disciple-Maker: I am an outgoing, energetic, people person with a shepherd’s heart and vision for the church. I enjoy seeing God meet people wherever they are and helping them take steps closer to Christ. In ministry, I\'ve had the privilege of working with children, youth, young adults, families, and seniors in various cultures and communities. The scarlet thread is when God gets a hold of a heart and begins to move. It doesn\'t get better than that! A Preacher/Teacher: I’m an expository preacher who seeks to be passionate, practical, relevant, research based, big-picture focused, and aimed towards everyday application. I love to preach in churches, conferences, & camps. I love teach in seminars, classrooms & small groups (theology, ministry skills, counseling issues, crisis management, etc). A Leader: Jesus is our leader and I get to serve Him though ministry leadership. I\'m a team builder who loves to lead ministry and mission teams to love God, love people, and be disciples who make disciples. I know God works through teams and that the needs in ministry are bigger than what I have to offer alone. I excel at casting vision, motivating, managing people, enlisting, and equipping. I enjoy teams who love, learn, produce, celebrate, & have lots of fun. A Missionary who loves to see God work multi-ethnically: I am a student of culture and have spent much of my time living and ministering in multicultural contexts. Further, I have the joy of being married cross-culturally, meaning, my life path is a lesson in cross-cultural communication. I have a long way to go still! Yet, I love it, and I believe that God loves all tribes, tongues, and nations. Thus, in complex multi-ethnic communities like ours, I love seeing God work through churches whom push to understand, reach, and minister to their communities through intentionally diverse leadership.    My name is Johnny Weldon. I was raised in Jacksonville, FL and have spent the last 25 years ministering in Chicago, Belize, South Carolina, and Florida. I\'m 48 yrs old, been married to Rachel for 22 years, and we have two children. Rachel is from Lake Station, IN, right outside of Chicago. We both love ministry and are well trained. Rachel earned a B.A. in Intercultural Ministries from Moody Bible Institute, a M.A. in Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Formation. The truth is that we know we need Jesus. He saved us, redirected our paths, and is teaching us how to walk with Him. We believe what He says. He came to seek the lost, and invited us to follow Him, and reach the world. We think people need Jesus and He has risen up the church to declare His goodness, show them His love, and make disciples. That movement that started in Israel is still advancing around the world and we want to be apart of it. We found the Lord and we\'re on mission. We want to see others come to know Him and make Him known too. As for me, I am a pastor/disciplemaker at heart, love to preach/teach, and lead all ages towards the Lord. Like a paratrooper, I\'m willing to go wherever God sends me and create and/or lead a team to accomplish His Mission. If I could swing for the fences, I would always serve alongside a team of healthy leaders who are focused on making disciples who make disciples. I love working with a team that is all-in, has a variety of gifts, knows how to work together, and values the mission more than their own personal preferences. Besides that, I\'m a missionary at heart. So, big bonus if the team also has a real love for multi-ethnic ministries.
