Development of employment policies. Undertaken wholesale reviews of policy provision, including Disciplinary, Sickness Absence, Maternity, Performance Improvement, Grievance, Redundancy. Involved stakeholder consultation and creating associated documentation including comprehensive line manager guides and letters for each stage of a process.• Coaching and advising HRBPs on case management activity.• T&C harmonisation activity- all UK employees (3,600 employees) were provided with new T&C’s. 450 did not sign so I advised on adapting T&C’s and producing documentation explaining the rationale for change. Focus groups were organised with employees to identify reasons for not signing and conversations also occurred with individual employees. • Produced ER comms and advised CPO in respect of entity changes as the business sought to transfer employees from Mace Limited to Mace Consult, Develop or Construct. Done via a technical TUPE although no measures. Involved approx. 1,500 employees.• Coaching and advising line managers in respect of the process to finalise settlement agreements including production of necessary documentation (Without Prejudice scripts, letters confirming discussion and Settlement Agreements). Also, liaison with employee solicitors.• Management of Employment Tribunal (ET) cases. During my tenure I have dealt with 10 ET’s, resolving 9. ET’s been in respect of unfair/constructive dismissal, race/sex/disability discrimination. Generally, Company seek to settle claims although case management involves identifying prospects, liaising with employment lawyers over costs and identifying and communicating a suitable settlement strategy to HRBPs, line managers and Exec Directors.• Devising and delivering employment law training to upskills line managers and HRBPs on diverse topics including Employment Tribunals, investigations, SOSR and contracts.• Management of the relationship with external employment lawyers.
