Johnny retired from the Wyoming Army National Guard after 22 years of service at the rank of First Sergeant of a Field Artillery Brigade Headquarters Battery. He has successfully completed Basic Leader\'s Course and was selected as the Distinguished Honor Graduate upon completion of Advanced Leader\'s Course and Senior Leader\'s Course and Honor Graduate upon completion of Master Leader\'s Course. He was also selected as the Best Non-Commissioned Officer for the State of Wyoming in 2015. Johnny has deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (20••••05, 20••••10). Additionally, he is a trained Army Instructor.On the civilian side, Johnny was a Deputy Sheriff for the Natrona County Sheriff\'s Office for over 11 years. He has worked in the detention center and was later assigned to the patrol division. He was an active member of the Natrona County Special Response Team (SRT) for 4 years and was assigned to the Scout/Sniper section. Johnny is AHA certified in CPR/AED use and is a trained instructor specializing in firearms training. Johnny has received over 1,500 hours of training related to first-response.In March 2017, Johnny began a new career in occupational safety and health and has performed those duties in various facets of the oil and natural gas industry since.Johnny is married with three children who live at home. His wife, Leah, is a Respiratory Therapist at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She holds several other degrees in the medical field as well. In April 2018, Johnny received his Associates degree in Occupational Health and Safety from CSU and in January 2019, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor\'s.Johnny is familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Office and is an organized person, capable of thinking outside the box and making good decisions in the absence of instruction. He has received Department of Labor certifications from OSHA 10- & 30-hour General Industry courses, as well as several other courses related to the safety industry. Johnny is PEC Instructor for Basic, Pipeline Basic, and H2S Clear.

   Pipeline safety. Responsible for the Health and Safety programs for 1,100 miles of liquids pipeline, five oil storage terminals, 23 pump stations, and approximately 100 employees who work on those facilities. Conducts and coordinates safety training on a variety of OSHA topics. Conducts and reports on incident investigations. Conducts site visits to ensure standards and policies are adhered to. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations (OSHA, ANSI, etc.) Coordinates with OSHA inspectors
