ABOUT JOHNNY STENGEL
1.5° Advocate & Founder | Climate Policy Expert & Connector at GermanZero | EU & UN Events Speaker | scholarship holder since 2015 I\'m part of the sustainability movement at GermanZero, working hands-on in Berlin and Brussels to push for science-based sustainability legislation. Every day, I engage directly with politicians to build bridges between policy and experts across sectors. My heart beats for climate justice—especially through my activism with advocacy for Fridays for Future: giving talks & workshops, discussing with policy-makers, CEOs, journalists, NGO experts and scientists, running campaigns, and connecting changemakers across sectors, regions and generations. I’ve spoken and collaborated at major conferences around the planet to connect the dots: COP26–29 • SB58/SB60 • Global Forum for Food & Agriculture • EU Food Waste Forum • GreenTech • Green Actors • Innocracy • Future Price • EYE • EAG, and multiple EU Commission & Parliament events. My mission: Net Zero in Germany by 2035 – globally by 2040. We’ve created the 1.5° Climate Plan: a comprehensive roadmap handed to the responsible politicians; a legislative package on 1,500 pages with 232 measures across all sectors—from energy, industry, international cooperation and transport to buildings, agriculture, and land use. It was developed together with hundreds of volunteers, lawyers and experts from all sectors, and more than international studies were reviewed to select the most effective and just measures. We show how to achieve NetZero in time. To reach EuropeZero and GlobalZero, everything is designed to be open source and scalable for other countries for the public good and international cooperation. Let’s connect, 🫵: More than anything else, what drives me most is real human connection. If you’re working for the climate, let’s talk—whether you\'re a policymaker, activist, scientist, founder, techie, farmer, artist, or just climate-curious. So get in contact and call me or drop a message on LinkedIn or j••••••••@germanzero.de Support us as a volunteer with your time and your skills, with a financial donation, or as a multiplier. https://linktr.ee/johnnystengel
