ABOUT JOHNNY PERRYMAN

Citizen of the Creek Nation (MVSKOKE) in Tulsa, Oklahoma I\'m now entering my 34th year of coaching youth sports. I was a 3 sport athlete in high school playing football, soccer and baseball. After high school I joined the US Army where my main duties were communications specialist, weapons specialist and sports facility manager. Proudest sports moment in the Army was being scouted by the Seattle Mariners in 1994 as a pitcher.I attended Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California for my Business Administration Degree before joining the airline industry. At America West, United and Southwest Airlines my experience ranged from Customer Service, Cargo, Station Trainer, Baggage Handler and finishing up as a Ground Ops Security Coordinator and Supervisor having worked at LAX, ONT and SNA airports in California. I retired in 2021 after 22 years of service at Southwest Airlines.Since 2010 I am also an accomplished womens softball coach at the recreational, travel ball, high school, college and International levels with demonstrated abilities to teach, motivate, and direct athletes while maintaining high interest and achievement. As a school district coach and youth supervisor since 2018 I have assisted high school programs with softball and flag football at the varsity and junior varsity levels. I have been both varsity head coach and junior varsity head coach. I have experience at all levels of administration in travel softball from 10u to 18u with nationally ranked organizations. My collegiate softball coaching experience started at Westcliff University NAIA in Irvine, California where for two seasons I was a volunteer assistant coach. I currently assist Westcliff University and several other college programs with scouting and recruiting. I am an effective communicator, which allows me to interact with diverse groups of people at a variety of academic and ability levels. I strive to consistently maintain excellent relationships with students, parents, faculty, and administrators as well as continue to be a self-motivated educator exhibiting strong planning, discipline, organizing, and leadership skills.My passion is coaching and my goal is set on joining a high school or collegiate softball program where I can share my wonderful enthusiasm for the game, help players learn and grow within the sport while at the same time earning a salary. I also would look to learn and grow as a coach expanding on my knowledge of the game as well. Sharing my years of life experiences and life on the diamond would be a great asset to any program.
