From 20••••16 Albany County Director of Operations; Chief Information Officer; past Commissioner of General Services for Albany County, responsible for technology, buildings, security, maintenance, consumer affairs, engineering, purchasing, central supply, and printing. 20••••12 was the Executive Director of the Food Bank Association of NYS. Responsible for interacting with the state’s business, agricultural, transportation, food industries, and government, to secure more food and funds for the food bank network, and coordinating public policy on behalf of the Board of Directors; member of the Board of the Empire State Society of Association Executives. Prior to the food banks served as Legislative Director for one of New York State\'s largest agencies (Dept of Tax & Finance) and as a lobbyist for New York State’s premier business organization: The Business Council. Dr. Evers spent almost 10 years in government: aide to Assemblyman Dick Conners of Albany, an assistant to the Clerk of the Assembly, and Sr. Policy Analyst to the County Comptroller. Served on numerous boards: elected city-wide to Albany Board of Education (President in 1996, 1997), Albany Public Library, NYS Association of Small City School Districts, Albany Police Athletic League (Treas), confirmed by Albany Common Council to Albany Police Review Board, and Mater Christi Parish School Board (President). Spent 25 years as certified NYS varsity baseball umpire. Published numerous times including works on parliamentary procedure, political parties in NYS, the Irish in NYS, the Moreland Act, and Gov Al Smith; former member of editorial board of Torchlight magazine for Torch International. We are a diverse group of consulting engineering firms from across New York State, ranging from sole proprietors to multinational corporations that collectively employ over New Yorkers and nearly ten times that number worldwide. Our shared goals are to further the business interests of our membership, enhance the quality and safety of the environment we live and work in, and help ensure the vitality of our communities.Oversee a staff of 8 with offices in Albany and New York City. Governance by a Board of Directors of 30 comprised of members from each of New York States’ eight (8) regional chapters: Western NY, Rochester, Southern Tier, Central, Eastern, Mid-Hudson, Long Island, New York City. Policy developed with input from over 45 standing committees in every major policy area and interacting with most state and city government agencies.
