About Johnny Boggs

I am a Biological Scientist with the USDA Forest Service Eastern Forest Environmental Threat Assessment Center, EFETAC. My current research focuses on investigating the effects of forest management on watershed hydrology and water quality, as well as tree water use in the Piedmont of North Carolina. I also collaborate with other research scientists to understand the impacts of forest management and climate change on carbon sequestration. This research has been instrumental in informing land and water resource managers, providing insights for policy development. By integrating scientific data into decision-making processes, we can ensure sustainable land use practices that benefit both ecosystems and communities.Relevant and Five Most Recent Scientific Journal Publications -Boggs, Johnny; Sun, Ge; Domec, Jean‐Christophe; McNulty, Steve.
