I am an inaugural member of a distinguished group comprising 18 individuals from pharmacy academia. Among 142 CEO deans, I hold the distinction of the longest known tenure, spanning 37 years. My leadership includes four appointments across three institutions: Florida A&M University (twice), the Medical University of South Carolina, and the University of Toledo. We realized program milestones, philanthropic successes and rankings at each school. Recently, I was honored with the title of emeritus, reflecting continued advisory council membership and recognition of my contributions to the profession.
