About Johnni Beckel

All gas, no brakes, big ideas. I move fast, challenge the status quo, and I am creative in my approach to solving problems… all with the goal of having a meaningful impact. Impact is what fills my cup! Impact on people, culture, customers and business success. My vehicle to make an impact is coaching and mentoring others, and I do it often. Sometimes formally and sometimes informally. My coaching tool kit comes from my broad industry and varied functional experiences (and I have many!). If an artist were to paint a picture of the elements that represent my career, experience and passions, it would be a mosaic of the following- Pizza, Chicken, Tacos and White Castle Burgers- Money (think banking) to help people achieve their dreams- Healthcare Heroes, dedicated to helping others live their best lives- Mickey Mouse, providing unparalleled entertainment experiences Can you visualize it? Trust me, although at first glance they may seem unrelated, they actually are very intertwined. I have had an incredible career that has allowed me to touch all of these industries in a variety of capacities. I’ve been able to both put my fingerprint on and provide leadership in all the enabling functions that support a successful business: strategy, operations, human resources, marketing, communications, and IT to enable a differentiated culture, which I deeply believe is the “secret sauce” of the best companies! So, what does that mean? It means you can count on me to constantly ask questions like “what if?” And “why not?” I drive toward possibilities and have an unwavering resolve, even if I find myself in uncharted waters. Someone once said they picture a kaleidoscope when asked to describe me – they pointed to what they said was my knack for perceiving patterns and connections that likely aren’t readily apparent or conventional. My advice when coaching others is this: be you. Invest the time in discovering what makes you different, then bring that to all that you do in all aspects of your life. Always be open to possibilities. If someone taps you on the shoulder to talk about a project, an opportunity to contribute in a new and different way or just wants to share some insights, be sure to listen. Really listen. It’s often through the lens of others that we truly get to know who we are and who we might become through sometimes unanticipated opportunities.
