Chartered Structural Engineer | RAAC Repair Innovator | Former IStructE Vice President | Expert Witness| Wireless Infrastructure Provider| Business LeaderI’m a Chartered Structural Engineer with a career dedicated to solving complex challenges in the built environment. My expertise lies in structural assessment, investigation, and design, particularly for existing and ageing buildings where the risks are hidden, and the consequences of failure are high.Over the years, I’ve led pioneering work across the industry, from forensic investigations and structural safety reviews to the design and delivery of robust solutions that stand the test of time. I developed the UK’s first engineering solution for RAAC repair, helping asset owners and duty holders safely navigate the growing risks associated with this fragile material.As former Vice President of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), and a member of several industry working groups, most notably Working Group 9: Site Supervision, formed in response to the Hackitt Report. I’ve helped shape national approaches to building safety and professional standards.Having spent substantial time in the Telecoms Industry, first as design engineer, then site managing agent when the Electronic Communications Code was revised in 2017, I applied for and had Code Rights conferred by Ofcom to allow combination of Management and Structural knowledge to develop a System of Wireless Infrastructure.I continue to support clients as Engineer, Wireless Infrastructure Provider and Strategic Thinker, applying rigorous, first-principles thinking and technical due diligence to structural and wireless solutions and fair resolution of disputes as Expert Witness. My focus remains on delivering practical, defensible, and cost-effective outcomes for commercial clients, building owners, developers, contractors, and public bodies.
