I build and lead teams at the intersection of data, systems, and humans to drive better decisions and execution at scale. Data become valuable when they are effectively operationalized across the business, not when they surfaced in yet another dashboard.Experienced in leading data from Series A to IPO and beyond. I have been the first data hire (Goodreads, acquired by Amazon), taken a company public (LegalZoom), and served as CDO for a publicly held business (Mailchimp).I am also deeply passionate about the retail sector (especially POS systems and what can be done with their data), using data to automate decision making and the resulting execution, the extent to which AI may allow us to replace painful SaaS experiences with a human (backed by software), and the extent to which BI tools as we know them are on borrowed time.
