ABOUT JOHN MEJIAS

John Mejias is a 1982 graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, whose business experience includes owning, managing and operating local and international businesses with a specialty in labor relations. As a private service consultant he has directed business development for small to medium enterprises and consulted for start-ups, existing businesses and governments for over 25 years. In 2010, John co-founded Own Energy Corporation in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to provide renewable energies supply, integration and installation services. This led to his writing the curriculum for and he continues to teach \'The Integration of Distributed Energy Systems\' at Lakeland College for practicing renewable energy professionals. He is highly committed to fostering public and government awareness to the proven planetary and economic advantages of making renewable energies more practicable in day to day usage. In 2013, John added business development and corporate compliance to his experiences, as one of the founders of the consulting and surface science company, nSTRATA™ Inc. This tier-one manufacturer globally supplies ready-to-use and concentrated nano and micro-scale additives and custom industrial chemical formulations; from permanent thermal glass coatings for windows to functional long-term surface materials with embedded antimicrobial biocide.John\'s book, ‘Bridging The Hygiene Gap - Nano Technology to the Rescue, at Work, Home and Play’, speaks directly to those responsible for public safety by discussing \'best-practices\' to assist in preventing disease outbreaks. His lectures on this subject have been happily received in five countries with the corporation of the Canadian Trade Commission Services.His latest accomplishment occurred in the midst of 2021’s pandemic when he was accepted, not only as a member of the International Well Building Institute, he was called to actively participate in their global Health Equity Committee; the WELL Faculty; and the 2022 WELL City Advisory.John’s credo is to strive to survive on our precious planet and to adapt existing or adopt new technologies to purposely thrive hereon.
