ABOUT JOHN MCRITCHIE

I am a Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with extensive experience leading CAPEX projects from small plant upgrades (<£500K) to major capital projects (£100M+), across the chemicals, food & beverage, distilled spirits and green hydrogen sectors. I have delivered projects within large multinational organisations, medium-sized enterprises, and agile small companies, operating across functional, matrix and fully project-oriented organisational structures. This breadth of exposure allows me to adapt my leadership and delivery approach to suit differing governance models, resource constraints and stakeholder environments. I specialise in delivering projects from concept through FEED, detailed design, commissioning and handover, combining technical expertise with practical project execution, stakeholder management and regulatory compliance.I lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate consultants and deliver projects on time, on budget and to a high standard. My work spans project management, process engineering, commissioning, process safety, CDM compliance and continuous improvement, translating technical designs into practical, high-quality outcomes in regulated industries. Previously, I developed deep multi-sector experience managing production optimisation, supply chain improvements, operational efficiency initiatives, and capital project delivery.
