About John Mamus

Before founding MAMUS, John was Creative Director for Global Communications at FILA. He was responsible for all aspects of repositioning, from identity systems, packaging, advertising, web, and more on a global level.Previous to FILA he was Co-Founder, Creative Director, and founder of the Merkely + Partners Agency interactive and design group – Merkley ID.Mamus started the Merkley ID group with an interactive and branding assignment for a then-new airline called jetBlue.Mamus and group went on to work with such clients as Mercedes-Benz, Pfizer, BMW Motorrad, BMG and Starwood Resorts & Hotels; in different aspects such as interior design (Mercedes-Benz), identity (BMW Motorrad, Starwood, BMG), and interactive (BMW, Pfizer, Tap, Novartis and others.) Previous to Merkley, Mamus held director-level positions at leading New York advertising agencies such as Ogilvy, Deutsch, and Young & Rubicam, working on such brands as Phillip Morris, AT & T, IBM, Jaguar Cars, Ford Motor Company, GTE, BellSouth, Richemont, Mazda, Publicis in the Americas, W Hotels, Maybach, SBC, Smirnoff, Purdey London.
