About John Lyons
With over 20 years of experience in creating dynamic software solutions, I am currently an Engineering Manager (DevSecOps) at CB Insights, leading a platform operations team.I lead a high-performing DevOps team that optimizes the velocity at which we deliver software, using automation-first and cloud-based approaches. I also champion state-of-the-art patterns such as infrastructure as code, observability, and security by design. My mission is to maximize developer productivity, enhance systems performance, and ensure customer satisfaction. As a certified Linux administrator and a proficient user of Go, Postgresql, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and other technologies, I have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of distributed systems. I have successfully implemented new functionality and fixed bugs across a variety of back-end projects, as well as participated in code reviews and technical design sessions. I am passionate about learning new skills, sharing best practices, and collaborating with other teams and stakeholders.
