I am currently an Epic Principal Trainer for Select Medical, who is the parent company of Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation,#3 in the nation for the specialty of Rehabilitation - U.S. News & World Report for 2023-24. In Select Medical, my team and I support our two major lines of business: Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals (CIRH) and Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRF) numbering over 135+ hospitals that span across the entire United States.My last position was as a Care Transitions Nurse, whose focus was on discharge follow-up, education, and processes. My experience ranges from being a Rehabilitation Nurse-certified, Epic Super User, Home Health Nurse, Substitute School Nurse, Nurse Volunteer, Nurse Extern, Emergency Room Technician, and Emergency Medical Technician. At each experience, I strive for high quality care that is supported by evidenced-based practice. I work with an interdisciplinary team in all settings and am engaged, as well as, honored, to instill my own work ethic, emphasis on teamwork, and support for my fellow healthcare co-workers. There are many benefits to working and gaining experience in these fields, but my motivations are my hospital co-workers and patients. If I am engaged in nursing school studies, a pre-hospital or emergency department emergency, a rehabilitation injury, discharge processes, continuity of care in the home, a child in need of assistance, or end-user training - I work hard for my healthcare providers and patients. And, within my power, I want to ease the suffering of any person or patient.As healthcare workers, we do not seek nor expect gratitude, and there will be days when we will receive none, but I will understand our contributions. So, I will be sure to walk by you too, saluting you respectively and saying,\"it\'s okay, we have done well today\".
