About John Lokken

I recently retired, after 29 years, from Air Force service. I\'m excited and looking for opportunities to put my project and people management skills to use. I\'m passionate about developing people and incorporating their talents for the benefit of the team, and themselves. I initially mastered security and law enforcement basic tactics, then quickly moved onto building and leading professional teams at the mid and senior levels. My experience has taught me the importance of following certain steps when coming together as a project team but having the agility to flex to different circumstances. I can effectively collaborate, coordinate, prioritize, and manage risk to ensure project success. I\'ve effectively performed at the management level for cross-functional teams, making me an effective communicator up and down the workforce ladder. Performing at the senior installation level (city manager), allowed me to hone my project management skills in various areas. I understand the need for plans of action with milestones and analytical/critical thinking and questioning.
