Sports don’t wait for perfect conditions or big crews. They demand timing, rhythm, and a filmmaker who understands movement on a deeper level.My name is John Kreng, founder of Reel Kinetic Media, and I shoot sports with Netflix-approved Sony Cine cameras (FX6 & FX3), full-frame cinema lenses, anamorphics, and a philosophy rooted in 25+ years of stunt coordination, second-unit direction, and action design. I learned to read intention, anticipate impact, and tell stories through the human body under pressure. Now I bring that same precision, discipline, and emotional instinct to sports cinematography.I’ve built a strong body of work across NCAA Division I athletics, Olympic-track qualifiers like the Los Angeles International Basketball Cup, and elite youth pipelines including the El Segundo Eagles. I’ve filmed basketball, soccer, volleyball, water polo, softball, baseball, tennis, lacrosse, and golf—capturing each sport with intimacy, clarity, and cinematic intention.What broadcast cameras miss in their wide coverage, I frame with purpose. Every shot has a heartbeat. Every play has narrative weight.
